Members of the public are invited to find out about partnership working in health and care across Lancashire and South Cumbria and observe a meeting between all of Lancashire and South Cumbria's Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs)
The Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups is a meeting of the eight CCGs in Lancashire and South Cumbria and is responsible for making decisions about proposals referred to it by the CCGs. Decisions will be referred if they require a Lancashire and South Cumbria approach, but most decisions about healthcare will continue to be taken locally.
The Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups consists of GPs and lay members from each of the Clinical Commissioning Groups in Lancashire and South Cumbria. Chief Executives from Blackpool Council, Lancashire County Council and Blackburn with Darwen Council, representatives from district Councils and local Healthwatch are not members of the Committee but attend the meetings.
Prior to the committee meeting, there is an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions and find out about how organisations are working together to involve local people in improving health and care across the region.
The committee will be held at 53 Degrees at University of Central Lancashire, Fylde Road, Preston, PR1 2TQ on Thursday 5 July, 1pm – 3pm.
The agenda and papers for the meeting are available on the Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria website: www.healthierlsc.co.uk/jcccg
